Chipmunk CHEEKS, that is. The Princess had all four wisdom teeth extracted yesterday. To the tune of $921.20. That makes for a double ouch. I still had $612 left in my FSA for the year so I paid the balance in CASH. However, that is going to be coming out of savings.
So, around here its been 'round the clock ice packs, pain meds, anti-biotics and ice cream. I'm hoping for a fast recovery because there is much to do between now and August 11 when she moves into the dorm. For now though, the Princess just texted me that she needs some water --- so off I go!
I get to go through this with my daughter in a week and a half! Luckily my share, after insurance, is only supposed to be $366 and I've already paid a down payment of $92. Hope Princess has a speedy recovery!
ReplyDeleteI had all four of mine out when I was 18. Honestly, it wasn't that bad. Out on Friday, and I was back at school (I was a sophomore in college) by Sunday, and eating just fine.
ReplyDeleteSpeedy recovery!
I had all 4 of mine out (and a molar that a wisdom tooth impacted) back in March and I totally sympathize with the princess. Recovery was rough (since I did IV sedation I don't remember the actual procedure at all)! I did like that eating just ice cream, jello, and broth for about 4-5 days helped with my weight loss :) but $3600 out of pocket and now my implant is another 3K....Ouch!!
