Just a Wee Bit of Shopping This Week

This week's Publix deals were what I would call less than stellar. There wasn't much that we needed for a really great deal. I was hoping to get the Golden Graham's Breakfast Bars, but they were sold out. So I just grabbed some PowerAde and Ritz Bits Sandwiches instead.

On my way back into town, I stopped at Target. Target isn't located very close to our house, so I tend to only go there when there is something specific I need. Princess Penelope had scoped out some of the dorm room things she wanted or would need, so I stopped there to see if they were marked down yet. School supplies were being marked down (probably because most schools in this area have now been in session for over two weeks), but the dorm stuff wasn't yet so I didn't pick up any of that stuff. I did however find a set of Sony Earbuds marked 50% off on the clearance rack, (from $19.99 to $9.98), so I picked those up for Princess Penelope's stocking (she always gets as many sets of earbuds as I can for a great deal in her stocking, that girl is HARD on earbuds and we both get tired of paying full price, so I try to stock her up!). And since I used the Target Red Card debit, I saved an additional 5%!

So, here is how I did:

Publix:
4 Powerade 32 oz.
2 Ritz Bitz Sandwiches

Spent: $5.61
Saved: $6.61 or 54%

At Target:
2 Velveeta Shells & Cheese
1 Sony Earbuds

Spent: $13.83
Saved: $11.77 or 46%

Not too bad, and that's another Christmas item bought in advance! Yea!
